NAHA (16U) and College Bourget (19U) Crowned Champions at PPHL Girls Playoffs Weekend

The Power Prep Hockey League (PPHL) officially concluded its 2025-26 Girls season with an outstanding playoff weekend, as NAHA captured the 16U Championship and College Bourget claimed the 19U title following three days of high-level competition, standout individual performances, and dramatic finishes.

All games throughout the weekend were played at Cadillac Ice Arena in Walpole, Massachusetts, with one matchup hosted at Foxboro Sports Center. Standings reset entering the weekend, giving every program a fresh opportunity to compete for a league championship. Teams competed in preliminary showcase play Friday and Saturday before advancing to Sunday’s crossover semifinals and championship games.


16U Division Recap

The 16U division opened with explosive offense during preliminary play.

Ontario Hockey Academy began the weekend with a commanding 12-1 victory over Norwich Hockey Club behind six-point performances from Kaelyn Stansell (3G, 3A) and Filippa Roege (2G, 4A). College Bourget followed with a dramatic 6-5 win over Lovell Academy (Tier 2), capped by Katia Vidicek’s game-winning goal with just 25 seconds remaining in regulation, while Ashlyn Cook scored four goals for Lovell in the loss.

NAHA earned a 6-0 shutout victory over Boston Hockey Academy, powered by multi-point performances from Katherine Mehling and Payton Monusky, while Danielle Rapport added two assists.

Saturday continued with Ontario Hockey Academy defeating Lovell Academy (Tier 2) 4-1, as Stansell recorded a goal and an assist and Emily Sena made 23 saves. College Bourget secured a 7-0 win over Boston Hockey Academy behind a hat trick from Tatiana Deblois and a shutout performance by Lea Kornikova.

NAHA remained dominant with an 8-0 victory over Norwich Hockey Club, featuring two goals each from Karissa Chaposky and Anne Gilbertson alongside Rebecca Cohen’s 18-save shutout.

Ontario Hockey Academy later defeated Boston Hockey Academy 6-1 behind two goals from Nina Cellarova and three assists from Nerea Stellet. College Bourget earned a 7-1 win over Norwich Hockey Club with multi-goal efforts from Deblois and Elodie Bélanger, while Norwich goaltender Aurelie Houde delivered a remarkable 73-save performance.

NAHA closed preliminary play with a 7-1 victory over Lovell Academy (Tier 2), led by two goals from Katherine Mehling and additional multi-point efforts from Gilbertson, Charlotte Lobisser, and Emma Collacchi.

Following preliminary play, NAHA, Ontario Hockey Academy, and College Bourget each finished undefeated at 3-0-0, with seeding determined by goal differential. NAHA earned the top seed, followed by Ontario Hockey Academy and College Bourget, while Lovell Academy (Tier 2) secured the fourth semifinal position.

Semifinals

In the first semifinal, NAHA defeated Lovell Academy (Tier 2) 2-1 in a tightly contested matchup. Evelyn Iversen opened the scoring before Katherine Mehling netted the game-winning goal. Grace Spooner made 41 saves for Lovell, but Rebecca Cohen’s 21-save performance secured the victory for NAHA.

The second semifinal delivered one of the weekend’s most dramatic games, as College Bourget defeated Ontario Hockey Academy 1-0 in a shootout following a scoreless regulation and overtime battle. Lea Kornikova stopped all 37 shots she faced, while Ontario’s Emily Sena matched the effort with a 26-save shutout. Shootout goals from Abygail Marsolais, Tatiana Deblois, and Katia Vidicek lifted Bourget to the championship game.

Championship

In the 16U Championship Game, NAHA defeated College Bourget 3-2 to claim the league title. Molly Drevitch and Maggie Fitzpatrick scored for NAHA before Anne Gilbertson netted the game-winning goal. Nicole Bethune delivered a standout performance in net, stopping 30 shots to secure the championship victory.


19U Division Recap

The 19U division featured balanced competition and several standout individual performances throughout preliminary play.

College Bourget opened with a 5-0 shutout win over Boston Hockey Academy behind a hat trick from Madison Levesque and three assists from Kylie Couch. NAHA Navy followed with a 5-0 victory over Rice Prep as Quinn Taylor recorded three points and Meghan Goldie added two goals.

Lovell Academy earned a 3-0 win over Ontario Hockey Academy with Tereza Gildainova recording three assists and Clara Peroni stopping all 20 shots. King’s-Edgehill School later defeated Boston Hockey Academy 9-2, highlighted by Jenna Greenwood’s six-goal performance.

Saturday action saw Lovell Academy defeat King’s-Edgehill School 3-1 behind Cheyenne Porter’s game-winning goal and a 32-save effort from Peroni. Rice Prep rebounded with an 8-2 victory over Boston Hockey Academy powered by multi-goal performances from Elyse Seitz, Jayden Russo, and Kayden O’Connell.

NAHA Navy defeated Ontario Hockey Academy in a shootout, while College Bourget earned a dominant 9-0 victory over King’s-Edgehill School behind four goals from Levesque and four assists from Ann-Sophie Beaumont.

Lovell Academy continued its strong play with a 7-1 win over Rice Prep as Gildainova recorded a hat trick and Gracesyn Louis added three points. Ontario Hockey Academy later defeated Boston Hockey Academy 7-0, and College Bourget closed preliminary play with a 4-2 victory over NAHA Navy.

College Bourget secured the top seed following a goal differential tiebreaker with Lovell Academy, while NAHA Navy and Ontario Hockey Academy rounded out the semifinal field.

Semifinals

Lovell Academy advanced to the championship with a 4-2 victory over NAHA Navy. Tereza Gildainova scored twice, including an empty-net goal, while Faith Baratta recorded the game-winning tally. Clara Peroni starred in net with 38 saves.

In the second semifinal, College Bourget defeated Ontario Hockey Academy 5-1. Charlotte Giguère scored twice and Madison Levesque added a goal and an assist, while Mariana Sumegova stopped 20 shots to send Bourget to the final.

Championship

College Bourget captured the 19U Championship with a 3-2 victory over Lovell Academy in a tightly contested championship game. Lovell opened the scoring on a goal by Tereza Gildainova, but Bourget responded with three straight goals, including Brooke Dalterio’s late third-period game winner with 2:17 remaining.

Gracesyn Louis answered just 12 seconds later for Lovell, but Bourget held on as Sumegova stopped 27 shots to secure the victory. The win marks the second consecutive 19U championship for College Bourget, completing a back-to-back title run.

With the conclusion of the Girls Playoffs, the PPHL officially closes the 2025-26 season across all age groups and divisions. We look forward to building on this momentum and welcoming everyone back for an exciting 2026-27 PPHL season.
