The PPHL Frozen Frenzy kicked off with the 16U and 18U PPHL All-Star Games at Lovell Arena, showcasing the league’s top talent in two exciting matchups.
The 16U All-Star Game saw Team Grey defeat Team White in a thrilling 11-round shootout, finishing with a 7-6 final. Matej Strapina of Bishops College scored twice for Team White. In the decisive shootout round, Liam Marcil of Ontario Hockey Academy scored before Dominic Watson of Cyclones Academy made the game-winning save.
Marcil was named the CWENCH Player of the Game.
In the 18U All-Star Game, Team Grey earned a 7-2 victory. Johnny Coombe (Elite Hockey Academy) and Nathaniel Noah (Ontario Hockey Academy) each scored two goals, leading Team Grey to the win. Both players were named CWENCH Players of the Game for their standout performances.
Looking Ahead
With the PPHL Boys All-Star Games setting the tone to open the Frozen Frenzy weekend, attention now shifts to the postseason. The PPHL Boys Playoffs are scheduled for February 14-16 at Cyclones Arena in Hudson, Massachusetts, where teams will compete for league championships following the conclusion of regular season play.
